During the pandemic, public transport has kept urban economies functioning and got essential workers where they need to be. The cost has been high and the pandemic end game is still uncertain. So how can we ensure that public transport and active travel are central to a green and just recovery from the pandemic? What policies do we need? And what will the transition to a better future for public transport look like?

UTG is the UK’s network of city region transport authorities. Together, we work to ensure that transport plays its full part in making our city regions greener, fairer, happier, healthier and more prosperous places.
